We sell newly restored FJ25, FJ40, FJ43 and FJ45 Land Cruisers. We focus on Japanese-made FJs with little rust and an unaltered chassis. We limit our selection to FJs that maintain their original engines and transmissions, guaranteeing that our Land Cruisers will be valuable and authentic restorations. A restored FJ typically starts at USD $75,000 and can go up to $150,000 for highly customized or rare models. Most of our FJs are sourced from Latin America, where the high altitude of the Andes Mountains keeps these vehicles mostly free from rust. That said, we have restored FJs coming from places as remote as Montana in the USA, Saudi Arabia and even directly from Japan.
For finished restorations, we receive full payment at the time of inspection, prior to delivering the FJ to its new owner. Your vehicle will be available for inspection at our showroom in Miami, Florida or by video call. Each vehicle comes with a custom-made, high-resolution photography book documenting the entire restoration process.
Most of the customers that send us an FJ to restore do so because they have a very unique model or a strong emotional attachment to it. Generally speaking, the restoration and shipping costs will be largely the same as buying one directly from our inventory.
In some cases, we will recommend selecting one from our inventory if your vehicle’s condition is extremely poor. For example, vehicles with significant rust are not good candidates for a restoration.
We follow the same strict restoration process for every FJ that we sell, irrespective of the vehicle’s condition. We don’t do partial restorations. Learn more about our restoration process here.
It takes us approximately nine months to restore an FJ. The clock starts ticking when we go into contract and stops with the final inspection and delivery of your vehicle. On average, approximately 1200 to 1500 man-hours go into each restoration process.
We require an upfront deposit of 50% of the restoration costs, and the balance is due upon completion of restoration just prior to shipping. Your vehicle will be available for inspection at our showroom in Miami, Florida or by video call.
Of course, as with every car we restore, you can expect exhaustive, professional documentation of your FJs restoration process.
You can purchase an FJ that is part of our inventory but is either in the middle of its restoration process or waiting to be restored. This option affords our clients the greatest flexibility in terms of customization, and can also save some time when you purchase a car that is near completion.
Once we begin the restoration process, you’ll receive monthly updates with high-resolution photography. Depending on the stage of the project, we’ll need another six to eight months to finish your vehicle.
If you have your heart set on a specific model that is not in our inventory, we can find one for you. We can find just about anything. It may take some time, but we’ll find it.
