As of April 2019, all vehicle deliveries will include a galvanized chassis (or frame). The benefits of galvanizing the chassis are well documented on the Internet, but let us give you a quick run down… The chassis of a 40 series Land Cruiser is made of steel and is prone to rust. For our projects, we source donor frames in decent condition – but even so, after years of hard work and exposure to the elements, these frames inevitably start to corrode. Rust is cancerous and it must be stopped – molten zinc to the Read more
At The FJ Company we know that bringing your family and friends along for a weekend drive is the ultimate test – one you’re far more likely to pass if your ride is equipped with the right features. Since its inception in 2016, our Sport build has embodied the best of both worlds – the classic look of an authentic Land Cruiser, and the comfort and ride quality of a more modern machine. So far, the response has been amazing – these 40 series Land Cruisers have been ooohed and ahhhhed by our clients, and enthusiasts alike. This past October, The FJ Company journeyed to the state of Arizona for the Copperstate Overland – four days of vintage off-road fun with plenty of glamping in-between. The FJ Company has proudly sponsored this event since its inception in 2015. Four of our vehicles made the trek this year, including 2 of our clients’ cars, as seen in this video.
It has come to our attention that some sellers on eBay, Craigslist, and other used car dealers are selling classic Land Cruisers and saying they were restored by The FJ Company. While some of our builds have been re-sold on other websites, the only way to guarantee that you’re buying an authentic FJ Company restoration, is to purchase a build through our website (fj.co) or to contact us directly.

What you pair it with, from the transmission, to the fuel delivery system to the tires, can affect your ride’s overall capability and performance. And our sales team is happy to walk Read more
From the Atacama Desert to the Rocky Mountains, from the dunes of Dubai to the open plains of Australia, the Toyota FJ Land Cruiser stands alone as the most reliable, long-lasting, and nearly unbreakable vehicle that gets you anywhere you need to be. The BJ25 was Japan’s answer to the American Jeep and the British Land Rover. There’s really no sugarcoating it: Toyota reverse-engineered the Jeep and perfected it within a decade. By the time the US started placing orders for the FJ to assist in the Korean War, the FJ had grown into the Read more

As with many things, restorations run from poor to great. In order to distinguish a good restoration from a great one, or even a great one from an excellent one, it’s important to know what to look for. Fortunately, we’ve prepared a list of questions to get you on your way. Should I already have an FJ? We don’t think that’s at all necessary. Some may think it’s putting the cart before the Read more
