Rustic & Refined

This 1978 FJ43 only had two owners, both priests, who used it as their everyday mode of transportion. It spent most of its time in a small town in the outskirts of Bogota, Colombia’s capital city. Its sound system was even designed so that external speakers could be connected, which were then used to host town hall meetings in remote communities.

It arrived at The FJ Company in great condition having been serviced at Toyota dealerships. We made sure to document its unique history through an exhaustive photo study before restoration.

The current owner asked us to find an original Rustic Green FJ43, and commissioned our company to perform a full-blown restoration that was as faithful as possible to the car’s original configuration. It does have a couple of custom features:  a hand-made roll cage, which resembles Toyota’s FJ40 roll cage, and LED head lights. The car was taken back to its original soft-top configuration.
